Mafia is one of the pet themes of most Ram Gopal Verma's protégés. But, Puri Jagannadh seemed to have moved away from it. But, he too has taken up his mentor's path and is making a new film which has a mafia theme against a local, Hyderabad backdrop. Prince Mahesh Babu would be playing the lead role, while his sibling Manjula would co-produce the film along with Puri Jagan himself. Devadasu-girl Ileana has signed 4 more projects in telugu, before the release of her first film. Pokiri is one amongst them.



The shooting of the film has started off recently and is going on in Hyderabad. Mani Sharma scores the music. There are 7 songs reportedly in this film. There is no shortage of action episodes either. Sources tell us that there are nearly 8 fights in the film, ranging from mini-encounters to full-fledged fights.
