No - the person who passd away in the SriRamadasu acciden is Sunil Varma - career assitant of KRR and director of Suman starrer AatmBandam.
As Mogambo Sodara saod - he is the directot of Tarun Sridevi starrer Ninne Istapaddanu. Clean Bowled (previus title of Kokila) was his second film.

This film is a real tribute to the genius behind this production - Konda, who passed away just before the completion of the film. One definitely feels sorry for the departed soul. The audience too feel, after watching the movie, that they too missed a genius.
It opens with children playing with a doll and two boys and a girl trying to possess the doll. One of them tears it into pieces. These children grow into adults. Kanakala as Rajeev, Sivabalaji as Abhi, Raja as Rahul are introduced in these roles. They live together and continue fighting for everything. They come across a girl, named Kokila. Each one of them wants to make her his wife. Abhi, a gifted painter even draws her picture on a canvas.
Kota Srinivasa Rao is the grandfather of Kokila and Surya, her father. Kokila pretends as if she remembers her previous birth and fools all the three young men, meeting them individually, bluffing that each one of them was her lover. The friends soon learn that they were fooled by her. These scenes occupy greater length of the drama, and are entertainingly shot. Yet Rajeev wants to marry her. So do the others. But Rahul maintains calm. From this point the drama picks up tempo. Rajeev gets a telegram from his parents and goes to the village and returns with a wife they forced him to marry.
Now the story shifts on to Abhi. He says he was going for a job down south. And he returns with the news that the boss of the office wanted to marry him. And he realizes that she is their childhood friend and in a bout of emotion he impregnates her. So there is no other way but to marry her.
Rahul is the person left out of this romantic drama. He is the person who loves her deeply but prefers to sacrifice her for the sake of his friends, when they were competing with each other. Due to unforeseen circumstances Rahul is even dubbed as a thief who stole her grandpa's gold chain. But Rahul discovers the chain in the bar the old man consumed liquor and returns it to Kokila. He also saves her from a few bad boys. The friends learn that Kokila is the daughter of a police officer, Surya. That is when Kokila discovers the painting of hers in their room and prefers to marry the man who did it. Now the gaze shifts on to Abhi. Thus one scene leads to another and the flashback episodes associated with these stories are quite hilarious. Thus the story from that point is set like a comedy of errors, with Kokila unable to decide who is who and whom she should marry. How finally Rahul faces a variety of problems including how he and his two friends get beaten in the police station, for mistakes they did not commit. And then they discover the hand of the son of a close friend of police officer Surya behind the whole thing.
It is an absorbing comedy and keeps the audience glued to their seats till the end. Such are your emotions that either you laugh, shed a tear or two or become sympathetic to some of the lead characters. The main player of the title role, Saloni, steals the limelight with her peculiar style of acting. All the three boys get entertaining roles suiting their tenor of acting, but the histrionic scale finally bends toward Raja, who appears to be bagging one success after another. The characters are chiseled well by the director and appropriate dialogue is written for them. Even Kota Srinivasa Rao and Surya get roles of a kind that they did not act earlier. All the songs are well written and equally well composed by MS Madhukar, a relatively new hand. The film has all the potential to draw families to the theatre, and is enjoyable throughout its run. |
