Venkatesh has been doing mass oriented flicks from quite some time. He has become spiritual these days and hence also opting to do sensible roles and rational films. Hence his taste is now drifting from commercial film makers to K.Vishwanath.
Victory Venkatesh and Kalatapasvi K Vishwanath combined to give a box office hit 'Swarnakamalam' in early 90s. The film was not only a success in commercial lines, but also triumphant in the matter of winning awards. Later the same combination brought the film 'Chinnabbai' which was a commercial failure.
From quite some time, K Vishwanath has been far from direction but only into action. He made only the film 'Swarabhishekam' by playing a prominent role in the same, that won accolades and awards but not good box office feedback.
After a very long gap the same union of Venkatesh and Vishwanath is about to bring a fresh film.
Cheran of 'Autograph' fame made the Tamil film 'Tavamai Tavamirindey' recently. The film was a success in Tamil Nadu. Not merely that, it also won applause of critics. Venkatesh, who watched the film recently, has shown interest in doing the project in Telugu. The film is going to be produced by Kalaipuli Thanu in association with Suresh Productions. The name of Vishwanath is in discussion as of now. Details are yet to be disclosed.
Heroines and other team are also to be decided. |
