I agree with your statement that "threatening state MP is in no good taste.". Unfortunately our Congi leaders are known for threating behaviour, but this time they were threating some one who are more Goondas than them (Bihar MP's). CBN is much more mature in dealing in civilian and parliamentary methods than these Congi leaders. |

Yaa CBN had very good situation during BJP rule. But we should also understand that there was a credibility factor and it would be no good if he uses black mailing tactics. He tried and did what ever he could. We are not expecting miracles from Congress now but some of these railway projects we were asking all the while are very very important for the state and there should have been some allocation to them.
For example...
1)CUDDAPPAH-BANGALORE line would be beneficial to Railways and also to backward regions of CUDDAPPAH, RAYACHOTI, MADANAPALLI etc.
2)NADIKUDI double line would be very beneficial as this is high traffic line and can ease traffic on main V.Wada line to Madras.
They should have allocated some budget to these, but instead threatening state MP is in no good taste.

Actually CBN was in a better position as whole Central Govt. survival was dependent on his party's support, so he couldn't done much more than what he did. In that respect, I feel CBN didn't use his influence to the maximum extent.
Now, eventhough Congress came to power because of AP, AP congress cann't threaten to withdraw support if they don't get what they want. So current AP position is not as strong as it was in the last parliament. |

Your question to Venu is very opt, but how does CBN's TDP not working hard in the past justifies current Congi not working hard?
Also, good reply from Venu highlighting what has been acheived during TDP's regime. People should argue based on the facts.
I want to see each party trying hard to excel each other in doing good for the state. |

Railway Budget 2004-05 :
Railways proposed to introduce 32 new trains including 17 Samparak Kranti Express linking several state capitals and different parts of the country with the Union Capital.
The proposed introduction of the new trains was announced by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad while presenting the Railway Budget for 2004-05 in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
The seventeen Samparak Kranti Express trains are Poorvottar Express from New Delhi to Guwahati, Andhra Pradesh from Delhi (Nizamuddin) to Secunderabad, Bihar Express from New Delhi to Darbhanga, Chattisgarh Express from Delhi to Durg, Gujarat Express from Delhi to Ahmedabad, Jharkhand Express from New Delhi to Ranchi and Kerala Express from New Delhi to Trivandrum.
The other Sampark Kranti Express trains are Maharashtra Express from Delhi (Nizamuddin) to Mumbai (Bandra), Madhya Pradesh Express from Delhi (Nizamuddin) to Jabalpur, Orissa Express from Delhi to Bhubaneshwar, Rajasthan Express from Delhi to Jodhpur, Tamil Nadu Express from Delhi to Madurai, UP Express from Delhi to Chitrakoot, Uttaranchal Express from Delhi to Kathgodam, West Bengal Express from Delhi to Kolkata (Sealdah), Goa Express from Delhi to Madgaon and Uttar Express from Delhi to Udhampurm, to cater for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana.
The frequency of Sampark Kranti trains will be decided depending on their patronage, Prasad said.
The other proposed new trains are:

The railway also proposed to extend the destinations of the following trains:

9. Two pairs of Mankapur-Katra passenger trains to Faizabad
It was also proposed to increase the frequency of the following trains:
1.1067/1068 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Faizabad Saket Express from weekly to bi-weekly
2.2313/2314 N Delhi -Sealdah Rajdhani Express from five to daily.
3.6507/6508 Jodhpur-Bangalore Express from weekly to bi-weekly
4.1017/1018 Bangalore-Mumbai Chalukya Express from tri-weekly to six days a week by cancelling 1049/1050 Dadar-Yashwantpur Exp (bi-weekly).
5. 3149/3150 Sealdah-Alipurduar Kanchankanya Express from tri-weekly to four days a week.

2001-02 Budget:
24 new express trains introduced
As many as 24 new trains including New Delhi-Raipur-Bilaspur Rajdhani Express and New Delhi-Ranchi- Hatia Rajdhani Express would be introduced during the coming financial year.
Presenting the 2001-02 Railway Budget in the Lok Sabha, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said the trains were being introduced after taking into account availability of adequate maintenance to ensure safety as also impact on freight traffic.
