Modern innocence has been clouding the feel of bhakthi among many these days. People hardly find time to pray wholeheartedly. Of course, a few would perform some ritual near the idols at home every morning, but only seldom would do that with full spirit. I recall Sukhbodhananda's words, "Prayer needs the spirit, but not the ritual". But how to feel the spirit of prayer is a big question.
Total immersion, complete involvement, deep attentiveness, perfect focus and all pervasive feel of God brings the spirit of prayer with tears rolling from eyes. Ego gets killed with such prayer. 'I' gets killed and spiritual 'eye' gets awakened. The heat of spiritual eye melts the heart and gushes out the tears involuntarily. Such rarest experience can be felt watching 'Sree Ramadasu'. What a tempo while screening the scenes of bhakthi!
The song 'Entho Ruchira…' clutches the hearts of audiences till they weep. The situation used for this song is marvelous and tear-jerking. One has to watch the state of 'Sree Ramadasu' when he sings this song. SP Balu has stolen the show rending his voice to this song. 'Antha Rama Mayam…' takes audiences to the abode of eternity.
"I would have stopped Lord Rama from running behind golden deer, if I were there at that time; had Rama ignored me, I would have prevented Seetha from suspecting Laxmana, if I were there at that time; had Seetha ignored me I would have smashed Ravana with a log when he was trying to abduct Seetha, if I were there at that time", were the feelings of Ramadasu those were non-verbally pictured with hair raising screenplay and tantalizing graphics. Total immersion is inevitable in this scene and one cannot resist looking at the grief of a worshipper.
The so-called practical minds, those speak less about Bhakthi and God, get shattered with this film. It's not possible to get out of the hangover of the film, although one tries to explain his mind saying 'It's only a film'.
This is the wonderful output given by K. Raghavendra Rao. A fantastic performance given by Nagarjuna and above all a spectacular film supported by writer JK Bharavi and composer MM Keeravani.
Wherever I come across anyone who asks about Sree Ramadasu, I have been simply uttering three words, "Don't miss it".

Annammayyaa- Devotees ki baaga ekkuva. payiga annamayya was musical hit. lord balaji payina songa thru chithra,susila,sp.baalu were fully hit.
Sri ramadasu(it must be bhakta ramadasu).. Koncham ramula vaariki.. hada vidi thakkuva kadhaaa.?? that too musicals were spolied by krvaani sontha style... I was the first person to tell... that movie peddha range hit avvaddu..
50 days.. at all centers... and 100 at very few..
Hyd Talk parvaledu.. but Bangaaram and veerbahara,sivaji,paournami are in pipe line. |
