Sam and T1 mamas,
I had to leave early yesterday and missed the action. When I tried to look today, there are lot of posts. Precisely, can one of you tell me, about my mode of payment?
I can mail a check.
OR I can transfer from my DCU account (credit card)
OR I can transfer from my paypal account.

Which ever works for you, let me know. In one of the posts below, TI was saying that he had to pay some extra amount if we transfer to his account. So, I don't want to cause inconvenience to either of you. So, let me know which mode of payment is better..

Best option is to do Monthly Income Scheme in Post Office which gives them interest every month and the principal will be locked for say 5 years or so. They will use only interest.

If we give full money to them they may not take care properly and someone else may take advantage of they having so much cash

these are the options I am thinking about : I will open a thread to collect opiniions of our fellow BTDB.

About the who can go, I think we can request OT, Ram(kushi) or DINU. I will opne another thread for that.

One option is : we will deposit money in Bank or Post office (in their
name). They will be taking interest for monthly expenses.
Second option is: They might want to put up a smaal stall (baddi kottu) and
she may be able to manage that sitting int he store.

I got too many meial messages from BTDB memebers and I am so happy so happy for that. I will be replying to each and every email soon.

--About proofdada and others who didn't understand te paypal proceedures:

goto paypal.com, register there with good emailid (don't use the junk mailid - anyway you don't get any junk mail from paypal) and a credit card (any Visa/master/discover/diner etc).

After registration is done then login to your account goto send money there give TI maaama's mail id ryada007@yahoo.com .

If you don't have credit card that can be used then ICICI bank account is the other alternative. I got the account details etc with me and don't want post here. This option works if you have ICICI account in India or NRI account. You can directly transfer money to my friend's account who can them give it to the person who is going to Anantapur.

Other option is just send the check to me or TI maama and let us know as soon as you post it. So that we will add that money to the fund.

The other option for USA people is, if you have DCU account, then you can transfer it to my DCU.

For ICICI bank accout details or postal address or DCU account you can email me @ samdeals@sbcglobal.net

goto paypal.com and open an account using the creditcard. Registering for paypal is as simple as Yahoo or hotmail account. Once done u can send money immediately.

Do it with credit card so that u will be able to send money immediately

Guys,

Now instead of giving total money (which is Rs 50K or more) at one stretch to that poor family deposit that money in some post office on the kid name or that lady and make arrangment so that the family gets every month some Rs 500 or so. That way it will cover the expense for the food and no other will take advantage too. Dont think they can managae if they get all money at once.

if i send the money via paypal using credit card are they charging you? Howmuch u will be charged. I just want to know since it might be useful in future so that I can cover the expenses while transferring any funds.
