hehehe, elcum back agni mama. saannallaindi ninnu choosi, temp sanyasam annaru prajalu. yeah, though I did not take to BS in a big way, of all the summer movies, seems like a better one - for me, better than spidey-2 too. yet to see 'village' though. but the line where they say 'first privately owned VP' was damn funny, it has to be the second if at all.

"Money is what money does". That's the message that this movie conveyed to me. A perfect movie to depict the largesses of big MNC's. (Read Halliburton) I liked this better than all the biggies released this summer except- Bourne Supremacy. Has some good lines to entertain its niche audience (fans of Political thrillers). Dialogues like " The assassin always dies. It's good for the national healing", "Money that pours on both ends of the aisles(Democs and Repubs) etc appealled to me. Denzel and Meryl Streep were Ok although my family members had different opinions. But comparing Denzie's version, which revolves around a meta-physical theme (The nexus between MNC's and Washington) with Sinatra's original will not take us anywhere as the original had an easily affable plot-the threats that the communists posed to the U.S. sovereignity during the coldwar period. (Though released much later, this went to floors during the heights of McCarthyism). Hanuman/Jamadagni http://www.princefans.us/bd_specaial.html

sneaked into the movie's last 40 mins. looked like a routine political thriller, plot is quite scary, cant comment on the full movie though since did not watch the first hour. denzyl washington looked OK.

Ee cinema ni nenu last week yE vEsEsaa.. Kaani, vachi review raayaalanipinchaEdu.. The plot is too complicated, unnatural and illogical.. You are always guessing where the story is going (if anywhere !!) and the movie is only saved by the last half an hour, in which the director suddenly gets a grasp on the story, rediscovers his sense of direction, and the pace quickens towards some sort of a (obvious)conclusion.. I came out of the theater wondering what I would remember of this movie - the early aimless meandering of the story, or the rousing pace of the climax sequence.. Definitely not a worthless movie, but somehow the names of Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep and director Jonathan Demme (of Silence of the lambs fame) deserve at least one watch.. if only for the occasional brilliance of some sequences. My rating: Proud member of 'Head-fi.org' - the best online community for hi-fi audio enthusiasts on the internet - Check it out. |

this is a remake of an old classic mamas. nenu choolledu so no comments but I think it would be worth a watch on dvd. brad mama, I think they were trying to make her look like hillary clinton. I would be EXTREMELY surprised of meryl streep is overacting. |
