Hyderabad, Aug 5: In a relief to Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, a metropolitan court today suspended operation of a non-bailable warrant against him and directed police not to arrest him. Fifth Metropolitan Magistrate M Gandhi asked Rao to appear before him on September 15 by when he should also execute a personal bond of Rs 5,000 with two sureties. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader has been accused of cheating by a TRS activist who had sought a ticket in the last Lok Sabha polls. The worker claims he and others paid Rs 10,000 to Rao for a ticket in the recent assembly elections, but he got neither a ticket nor his money. Rao, however, said the case against him is politically motivated. He admitted that the party had taken money from ticket seekers, but said it was giving refunds to those who had not been given tickets CHIRU RULES |
