Sensation I understood the number was wrong, but what he meant to say seems to be GROWTH RATE is more in AP. Otherwise I think exports are more from KARNATAKA, TN, MAHARASTRA for sure. KCR, NARENDRA lu Donga Naa Kodukulu!!! |

Fabcity is the most over rated and fake project. For the last two years, Tamilnadu is the real winner in both IT and manufacturing. We have to agree the fact that Telugu valla kanna Tambi gallu baaga pani chestaru and Madras cost of living is very normal compared to Hyd, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi and Bombay. Tamilandu ki publicity takkuva, vishayam ekkuva. |

http://ia.rediff.com/money/2006/apr/25it.htm?q=bp& file=.htm India's software and IT-enabled services exports shot up by 36 per cent to clock revenues of over Rs 100,000 crore (nearly $22 billion) in 2005-06, riding on the success on global delivery model, strong human resource and robust expansion plans. Members registered with the Software Technology Parks of India have exported software of over Rs 1,00,809 crore (Rs 1008.09 billion) or $22.47 billion by the end of 2005-06, against the total exports of Rs 74,019 crore (Rs 740.19 billion) in 2004-05, according to an official statement here. The highest exports by STPI registered units were from the state of Karnataka at Rs 37,000 crore (Rs 370 billion), showing a growth rate of 34 per cent followed by Maharashtra at Rs 15,500 crore (Rs 155 billion), a growth rate of also 34 per cent and Tamil Nadu at Rs 13,960 crore (Rs 139.60 billion). Andhra Pradesh has posted the maximum growth rate in software exports at 51 per cent by touching a revenue of Rs 1,25,000 crore (Rs 1250 billion). Software companies registered with STPs in Haryana, UP, Delhi, West Bengal and Orissa have also posted strong growth. Except Kerala, which has posted a growth of just 10 per cent, all other states have performed well, as the statement lists the growth percentage. Industry body Nasscom had forecast for the 2005-06 fiscal a 30-32 per cent growth in IT and ITeS exports which is expected to touch $22.5 billion. Indian software industry is targeting an export target of $50 billion in 2008-09. More than 6,000 units are registered under STPI umbrella, out of which more than 4,200 units have exported software in 2005-06. KCR, NARENDRA lu Donga Naa Kodukulu!!! |
