Director Puri Jagannadh has finally struck gold this time after a lean phase of two years. His latest film with hero Mahesh Babu, Pokiri, is creating new records of collections and extra revenue. The film’s Tamil remake rights were sold off at a whopping price of Rs 1.40 Crores, sources informed Telugucienma.com Well-known film financier and producer Singanamala Ramesh bought the rights. Sources told us that Tamil hero Vijay has agreed to do this film. Actually he was to remake Pawan’s Bangaram in Tamil but seeing its disastrous result at box-office, he has dropped the idea and instead he now wants to remake Pokiri in Tamil. Record collections! Pokiri has set a new record in Mahesh Babu’s films. The film’s first week revenue is best in Mahesh career. It accrued Rs 9.11 Crores in the first week and still going strong. Maa TV has also bought its satellite rights for Rs 90 Lakhs. Altogether it is raining money for Puri Jagannadh. |
