Ashok movie preview � PART I
Where NTR Jr stands today?
Amongst the new generation of stars, NTR Jr was the fastest one to raise to superstardom. Unfortunately, his fall to was equally fast as he failed to deliver boxoffice monsters post-Simhadri. He had a string of no shows at boxoffice like Andhrawala, Sambha, Naa Alludu and lastly Narasimhudu. But, that doesn't deter the young star as he took an oath before his fans to put his career will back on track and deliver the superhits he was once known for. He had taken a long break after his last film re-analyzed and adopted a new career strategy. Realizing that the audience are bored of the 90s style revenge dramas, the young star signed Ashok to be directed by newcomer Surender Reddy. Reddy's first film Athanokkade had an age old story, but was presented freshly, which NTR needs exactly at the moment as he cannot shy away from the Nandamuri brand of mass flicks. If NTR scores a big hit off this film, he could be well on track in the race to the industry's next No.1 � the race in which Mahesh has a big lead over other stars.
How Ashok started?
After seeing Athanokkade, the trade speculated that the director's next film should be with NTR Jr, as that kind of a film would suit him aptly. And it rightly happened as both the director and actor decided to work togather for their next project. Since, Surender Reddy did not have a ready script on hand, writer Vakantham Vamsi was called on. Vamsi worked in the scripting department of NTR's previous films and had written a storyline keeping NTR in mind. Also, producer Valluripalli Ramesh who had signed on Reddy to make a film on his banner was roped-in to the scene and is producing this film. The unit decided to have Mani Sharma as the music director and Sameera Reddy as the heroine.
What to expect from the movie?
The whole film was shot on the expensive Super 35MM format. Its a type of film stock which uses the standard 35mm film but has an extended image area to allow the use of the entire film width. This gives a more aesthetic look to the visuals in the film. Also, color grading was done extensively for the film at Prasad EFX, Mumbai to give the best look to the film. This is a revenge drama, where a thread of male bonding and friendship is also involved. Rajiv Kanakala plays NTR's friend in this film. Sonu Sood (of Super fame) is the main villain in this film. Stun Shiva composed some flick fights to the film. To add to the slickness, the movie is edited by Gowtham Raju. Raju is known for not bearing with a 'lag' in the scenes at all and uses his scissors effectively. Like all Nandamuri films, this movie has chases sequences involving Sumos and jeeps. The interval block is said to be the visual highlight of the film.

Ashok - A good mix
Life is very strange. Its script is more dramatic than anything that the film industry can come up with. Just around two years ago, NTR Junior was the most promising young star. He was a mass hero whose films were running left, right and center.
But somewhere down the line, the plot went haywire. But NTR Junior is a man of mettle, there is a strong streak of steel in him. He has always like a challenge and a fight.
It is what he thrives in. Give him a crisis, he will overcome it. In Ashok, he is said to have given one of his most spirited performances ever.
Ashok, in simplistic terms, is a typical entertainer with all the expected ingredients. But with Surender Reddy at the helm ---- the man who has given Kalyan Ram a new lease of life ---- the script holds special attraction.
Ashok is about a strong-willed individual who faces adversity with stoical and steely resolve.
Director Surender says the fans would see a new NTR Junior in this film. �The film would have love, family drama and emotions'.
NTR Junior has been called upon to fight and dance with gusto and style. �He has done that fabulously,� says the director.
The film�s heroine is Sameera Reddy. Now, Sameera is a buzzing sort of girl who loves all out fun. The film has provided her that.
She and NTR Junior share a fine equation. The director has exploited that on the screen.
The film�s muhurat, held last September, was in itself a special event.
Among others, Chandra Babu Naidu, Bala Krishna, Venkatesh, Hari Krishna and Kalyan Ram were present.
That itself showed that NTR Junior has plenty of goodwill. Now he has to use that and translate into success.
Produced by Valluripally Ramesh who has made films like Avunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru, Kabaddi Kabaddi and Pandem, under Maharshi banner, Ashok is set for release in April.

Ashok-Preview
Ashok( Jr NTR) is a bike mechanic and the story runs with Mechanic loving a classical dancer (Sameera reddy). As for the director , the film looks like action film but it carries family back drop with sentiments.
Ashok loves the humanity and hates any inhuman mankind. Whom he hates and Why must be watched on the screen.
Specialty of the film- the entire film was shot with super 35mm camera and used Digital intermediate technology. As for the producer, one shouldn't miss the first 10mts of the film. And the producer is very much confident about the film and Jr NTR.
Film is releasing tomorrow(13th of July) with more than 280 prints.
