Devender Goud, a new hero in TD!
Former Home Minister and Telugu Desam Legislature Party deputy leader T Devender Goud has suddenly become a new hero in the party, for openly pointing out the flaws in the style of functioning of party president N Chandrababu Naidu.
Everybody in the party is now giving all credit to Devender Goud for successfully resurrecting the party in Telangana region. While TD could win majority of the seats in the areas where he had undertaken padayatra, similar results could not be witnessed in the areas where Chandrababu Naidu toured extensively. This analysis in the party has naturally upset Naidu, who does not want to grow Devender Goud as an independent leader.
But the scene at Devender Goud's house is really causing Naidu a lot of heartburn. A large number of TD workers are thronging Goud's residence and expressed their solidarity with him. He is also giving off-the-record interviews to mediapersons about lack of democracy in Telugu Desam.
Going by the developments, political observers say Goud may come out with a separate outfit for Telangana within the TD. But he is not a man in hurry. One has to watch his moves closely.
