Pawan Kalyan's Satyagrahi in Telugu, Bengali, Hindi
Pawan Kalyan starring Satyagrahi is launched today. There is lot of excitement about this project with the big names AR Rehman and PC Sriram attributed to it. Most exciting factor is story, screenplay and direction by Pawan Kalyan himself.
Dasari Narayana Rao, Allu Aravind, Venkatesh, Ramanaidu, VV Vinayak, Allu Arjun, Nitin and others attended the event as guests. The movie is launched at Annapoorna studios. First clap is given by Dasari Narayana Rao and camera is switched on by Allu Aravind.
Dasari spoke on this occassion - "Pawan is always a low profile star. He doesn't like publicity. That is the secret of his success. There is power and style in whatever he does. That is Powerstar. It is a great idea to team up with AM Ratnam. I am sure they will have hatrick blockbusters (Kushi, Bangaram, Satyagrahi). Pawan is a powerful artist and he will prove a powerful director with this film."
VV Vinayak seconded what Dasari said and added, "Pawan Kalyan thrives for novelty. Satyagrahi title itself is very different. I am waiting to do a movie with him and I will definitely do it. "
Pawan Kalyan who always keeps his words limited and shys away from talking surprised the audience this time. It felt like he is opening up to the fans.
A student leader fighting politics
"I don't know politics. I only read them in paper. I keep myself away from it. In my 7th standard there is this guy who is made SPL. He is a mischevious guy. I asked my friend on how he can be SPL. My friend responded that only such guys can be SPL. SPL used to demand for things from us. However, I cannot tolerate injustice. I wanted to fight that. Most of the times it is not possible for me to go fight it. But I wanted to stop that.
Now I have a weapon in hand - media.. Cine media.. I can fight to some extent by telling people about what is going on with politics. This is how Satyagrahi shaped up. Satyagrahi will have the agony, anguish of average person. My films carried some message in the songs. Now I am taking it full length movie. Satyagrahi is about a student leader fighting politics. AM Ratnam produced Oka Okkadu, Bharateeyudu in the past and I felt he will be apt as producer for this film too. "
Talking about his personal feelings, Pawan added "Aravind is my well wisher. However his eyes haunt me with the question that if I ever did anything to him. He might not feel that but I feel it out of guilt or whatever. Chiranjeevi is in Madras. I am not feeling bad that he could not be here. You all are his brothers and you are here with me. I can Chiranjeevi in all his fans and brothers. I pained him by being mum in the funtion. He always used to tell me to speak. I request his forgiveness in that. "
Allu Aravind said, "Bangaram is a definite super hit film. Pawan probably knew that he will do this film about 6 months ago. But I knew it 6 years ago. I know him from the beginning and his reaction to injustice is always sharp. To make Satyagrahi kind of film will need lot of guts. I am very happy that Pawan kind of a person is a part of my family. "
AM Ratnam said, "Bangaram audio is super duper hit. It will be the same case with film too. Satyagrahi story is very inspiring. Making a film on low profile and hitting it big is one way. The other way is to launch it big way, raise the expectation and meet the expectations. I am assuring you all that we will reach the expectations. We are making the film in Hindi, Telugu and Bengali. "
