Land deals land YSR in trouble!
Eversince the Poppalguda lands issue came to light, the media has started its aggressive campaign against YSR government on the real estate dealings on the city outskirts. The auction of lands by Hyderabad Urban Development Authority at Kokapet has triggered further controversies, giving a lot of food for the mediapersons. Now, one newspaper after the other have started probing into similar land deals, creating embarassment to the government.
Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy has realised that the media campaign will have serious political repercussions. Already, the forcible land acquistions for the outer ring road has cost the Congress heavily in Ranga Reddy district Zilla Parishad elections. And the Chief Minister does not want the trouble to be compounded. That is why he desperately trying to defend the land deals.
