Big queue behind chiru

Chiranjeevi Appears To Be Half Hearted In Social Service
“Wow! What a posh look? It’s really splendid”, uttered many while looking at the recent marriage functions in the families of Telugu film stars.
It is awesome glitterati, ostentatious flamboyance, and slapdash approach in burning the bucks for marriages that has become common for Tollywood celebrities.
Albeit there is nothing erroneous in doing so, the concern for needy speaks volumes about a film icon’s image. No Tollywood star turned up to help flood victims except Krishna, Krishnam Raju and Ramanaidu.
Chiranjeevi spent crores for his daughter Sushmitha’s marriage. He talks very high about his blood bank and eye bank. He diverts some of his income to his own Charitable Trust and declares that he is doing social service. But he did not come forward to donate at least a single buck for flood victims. Why? Is it not giving an impression that Chiranjeevi wishes to rotate his income only around him? He hardly lets out a pie for other organizations. What is the intention behind starting a Charitable Trust? First, to get Income Tax waiver and next comes the political interest by getting close to people in the mask of social service. Positively, Tax waiver is also applicable to the people who donate for CM Relief Fund for flood victims. Why didn’t Chiranjeevi donate here? Either he must have little trust on government or else he wishes to put his money only in his own Trust.
During the recent Tsunami, writer Chinni Krishna collected funds, food and clothes for Tsunami victims and donated them personally going to Nagapattinam and other coastal hamlets in Tamil Nadu. He tried to inspire many Tollywood celebrities but his charisma has limited aura to attract many. What Chiranjeevi was doing then? Why didn’t he encourage and inspire people to mobilize funds? He might not have big time to do those.
It’s clearly comprehensible whether Chiranjeevi is completely service motivated or only half hearted. He might have an Iota of interest to serve the needy but the major part is the interest on his income, and Charitable Trust is a way to protect that. Even if Chiranjeevi tries to motivate people with that Iota of social interest time would do wonders. But Chiranjeevi is interested to motivate people to attract towards his own Charitable Trust. Anyhow, Chiranjeevi appears to be doing more publicity for his Hanuman than inspiring people to help the flood victims.
Above and beyond, what Moahan Babu is doing? Even he talks high about his spiritual interest and frequently utters the name of Shirdi Sai Baba. But why cannot he come forward to serve the flood victims with his piled up currency notes. He celebrated his daughter Lakshmi Prasanna’s marriage in mind boggling showiness. He has thrown bundles of currency for that flashiness. But he is sitting silent in the matter of supporting flood victims.
Same is the case with Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh (although his father Dr D Ramanaidu donated) and many financially fat bigwigs are reticent in this substance.
Common man, although possesses the desire to serve the victims, his financial skin may not resist the requirement. Even Chiranjeevi said the same in a recent interview. But still there are people who are coming forward to serve the needy in their own way.
Donations are merely focused for Tax Benefits. There is no real service motive among the so-called demigods of Tollywood. People are still crazy about them in ignorance. Yes, ignorance is bliss many a time.
