Guys
I am not saying go for divorce if there r differences in marriage. But for sure the rate of divorce has considerably increased in India and that too in MiddleClass. In my own circle i can show atleast 10 people who got divorced for various reasons (all r middle class btw). Some of them could be easily avoided and some genuine cases.
If ladies have the same kinda economic security in India the divorce rate will be multiplied.
Any way this movie will be definetly talked about until another such kinda movie comes in and the director succeeded in that

After watching 'KANK' , man shoots wife
Not all extra-marital affairs end the way it does in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (KANK). Take the case of a Thane resident who stabbed and shot his wife because she did not allow him to marry another girl he loved. The irony is that the incident took place after the couple had just watched KANK .
The victim Reshma (27) is fighting for her life in Sion Hospital. Her husband Shadaf Anwar Khan (32), a rickshaw driver, is absconding.
THE COUPLE
Shadaf got married to Reshma nine years ago. They have two kids Salma (9) and Salim (2). The family lives in Rabodi area.
For the past year, Shadaf had reportedly been seeing a girl working as a waitress in a local bar and wanted to marry her. But Reshma refused to give her consent.
Recently, she moved out of Shadaf’s house with the children and was living in Gajanan Chawl on Bunderpada Road in Kalyan.
WHAT HAPPENED
In her statement to the police, Reshma said, “On Saturday evening, Shadaf came to my place along with his friends Raju and Sanjay. He convinced me that he had dropped the idea of getting married to that bar girl. He had brought movie tickets for the late night show of KANK at Cinemax mall in Thane. He asked me to leave the children at home.”
Thrilled at the change in her husband, Reshma happily agreed.
“After the movie, Shadaf and his friends were driving me back to Kalyan in a rickshaw. Near Diva village, Shadaf suddenly stopped his auto and pulled me out. Before I could understand what was happening, he attacked me with some sharp weapon,” said Reshma.
She sustained injuries on her face and chest, and also took a bullet in her stomach.
LEFT FOR DEAD
Presuming her to be dead, Shadaf and his friends allegedly dumped Reshma on the Mumbai-Agra highway. But after some time, perhaps due to the rain, Reshma regained consciousness. Despite her injuries, she managed to shout for help and draw the attention of passers-by, who then informed the nearby Narpoli police station.
Reshma was rushed to Thane Civil Hospital, but later shifted to Sion Hospital as her condition was critical.
THE KANK CONNECTION
Sub-inspector D S Kengaje said, “Shadaf and his friends are absconding. We have registered a case of attempt to murder against them.”
Police suspect Sadaf wanted Reshma to watch KANK so she would allow him to marry his girlfriend. “We will be able to verify this only after arresting him,” Kengaje said. |

Too long. Too tedious. And strangely plastic. No, this time, Karan Johar seems to have got the formula somewhat skewed. For unlike his earlier successful celluloid soap operas, the audience doesn’t get to shed any real tears even though the protagonists keep crying. In all his ventures, the film characters would need the tissues despite the heartbreak, heartache, heartburn.But this time,it is the viewer who'd do all the crying, sighing and tear jerking.

19th Night 10PM show. CT. Already 3 shows per day choppuna 26 shows are screened at this theater. Still there are about 50plus people which is really great.
This movie perfectly reflects the Second Generation ABCDs and the recent relationship changes among NRIs (to be specific guys settled in past 10yrs or so).
I would strongly recommend this movie to Guys who are married recently and guys who are married for quite sometime and feel they no longer have the excitement of marriage.
Overall I liked the movie. Barring few dull moments this movie is really worth watching on Big Screen.
Most of the movie was shot in New Haven Rly Stn. I live 10 mins away from this stn and commuted for months from here. Infact I knew there was some shooting going on here on SRK and RM but could not make it though.. Felt happy seeing all those crucial scenes being shot here.
The director really succeeded in involving you in the movie. You Love and hate the characters as the movie progresses and feel happy/sorry/sorrow at times.
I am usually big fan of Action movies and had no expectations on this after reading so many reviews/bashings on this movie in Websites/DBs. But to my surprise I still liked the movie. If discussions will be raised on the content of this movie in Desi Parties I wont be surprised.
P.S.: I wish this movie had come much earlier then some of the people I know who got seperated probably would have thought of re-working on their relation.
