cpu's performance
Core 2 Duo > Core Duo > Pentium M
Heating issues are not that severe in Dell's latitudue series
thinkpad will be a best choice if you can throw $600 extra for lower/no heat problems
core 2 duo were released in the last week so theirs availability is not great.but because of this core duo are cheaper.
good deal will be core duo system with 1 gig ram for $750(think pad with same config will cost you around $1300) |

T60p lo evo graphic cards different anukunta. I bought T60 4 months back and it is too good. All models have the integrated finger print reader. 
You'll also get XP professional by default in think pad where as you have to upgrade this in dell (which costs you around $180). |
