KCR victory not so easy?
Did Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao take a hasty decision in resigning from his Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat? Some senior TRS leaders feel so.
According to them, it is not so easy for KCR to win the Karimnagar seat again, if the Congress takes it seriously. As of now, the TRS has lost its ground in Karimnagar constituency and majority of the Assembly segments in this constituency are represented by the Congress MLAs – out of seven Assembly seats, four are represented by the Congress. Till recently, there has been a lot of negative image for KCR, as he has not turned up to Karimnagar in the last two and a half years. So, if the Congress puts up a strong candidate and makes serious efforts, it will make the contest tough.
There is also a talk that if the Congress doesn't find a suitable candidate, it will ensure that at least Telugu Desam candidate wins the election; so as to prove that there is no Telangana sentiment. Even if there is a triangular fight, it will only help the TD. Taking all these factors into consideration, it will be a tough task for KCR to retain the seat. But the TRS president is confident that the Telangana sentiment would bail him out.
