"Madhurey", starring Vijay and Sonia Agarwal, was released Friday in Tamil Nadu, and negotiations are already on for a Telugu re-make of the film. The tentative Telugu title for the film is "Zilla Collector". The negotiations have been initiated at the behest of Telugu star Chiranjeevi, according to industry sources. Vijay thinks two songs of "Madhurey" will prove as popular as the ones in "Gilli". Whether the Telugu re-make will have the same tunes remains to be seen.
