i always want to view the passion and lust from woman's point of view. my guess is farah khan may attemp one such movie in future.
qawali song in this movie is too good. action scenes are too cheesy, but too good for a woman director.

like maybe the auto rikshaw chase is a spoof of sholay..
similarly what i think might be the reason for appearance of tabu is ..she is considered one of the worst dancers..her steps in RUK RUK song or if u see the clippings shown towards the end of the film coolie#1..she would be having all sorts of problems to dance in SYNC with venky..
so in main hoon naa when shahrukh is taking dance lessons..script wise..to show how bad he is at it ante..tabu is also wondering if one could dance so bad aa ani..(tabu gives an exclamation mark at sharukh's dance in the film)..
i think this is the reason behind her appearance.. |

talking about chali jaisi hawayein..this was the kind of the song i expected from the director turned choreographer..i always wanted to see a whole song(especially a group choreography) in a single take on the screen..in my knowledge nobody has attempted and succeded at it..when i was watching this song for the first time on screen.. i was waiting with abated breath to see if farah did the whole song in single take..but to my disappointment there was a cut halfway through(maybe the script demanded it..but since she was already at it.. she should have gone ahead and attempted the whole song in single take)..
the song carries typical farah's mark of choroegraphy..where.. in a single long take.. background group of dancers keep changing while the lead group remains the same(hello mister from iruvar and several other movies)or sometimes both of them change(sRk,rani and kajol in kuch kuch hota hai and aamir,akshay and saif in dil chahta hai lo disco song)..the shot composition and camera movements are almost similar..asalu farah choreography chesina almost prathi cinema lo ilaanti song okati untundhi..the style and composition was same in MHN too but here the length of the take was more.. |

enter the theater with no brains and heart. you will njoy the movie very much.
off late it appears as if iam becoming SRK fan. I liked his earlier Kal Ho Na Ho and this one as well. Saw K3G again last week.
Everyone in the theater enjoyed the movie very much. appears to be another block buster from SRK.
No wonder he is called Bollywood Badshah in terms of BO

watched atlast yesterday night.
my rating 4/5.
it has all the stuff what needs in a movie...though had some silly scenes,but she never made them look tht way!!
songs are terrific,especially kawali song!(i really ,loved this song) and ofcourse the title song. the last song where in farah credits all the technicians is simply a good way of thanking them n it was good to see also.
srk as usual is the best.sush never looked with soo much oomph and manish has to be commendable as her dress designer.suniel did a bit over of himself n remainin all has done in the same way as in yash r karans films.
atlast i liked srk in all kinds of stuff!!
 to farah for her direction despite bein a female(though tht doesnt stop some one from makin them but i never saw a female director handling such a high budget action/romance/senti flick in such a manner over the years!). |
