Blue Streak (1999)
Miles Logan is a jewel thief who just hit the big time by stealing a huge diamond. However, after two years in jail, he comes to find out that he hid the diamond in a police building that was being built at the time of the robbery. In an attempt to regain his diamond, he poses as a LAPD detective...
Miles Logan is a jewel thief. Things go awry while he's stealing a huge diamond in downtown L.A.: a thief, Deacon, tries a double-cross, the police arrive, and Miles is arrested, but not before he hides the jewel in an air duct of a building under construction. Two years' later, he's out of prison and he heads for the site: it's L.A.'s new police headquarters! Posing as a reassigned cop, Miles gets into the building, but before he can recover the swag, he's partnered with a naive detective and sent out to investigate burglaries. With Deacon on his trail, he must recover the diamond, keep the cops fooled, and do a few good deeds as a detective who can think like a criminal.

Pawan Kalyan’s Gudumba Shankar has created a new box-office record for a Telugu film even before its release. It has collected Rs 4,26,440 in advance booking from Casino theatre in Chennai two days before the release. In Andhra the trade is sure that the film will take a bumper opening, but all are praying that it sustains and becomes the first major hit of the year.
The mystique surrounding the film is amazing as nobody knows anything about what the film is all about. National award winning actress Meera Jasmine is cast opposite Pawan and it is her first release after she won the coveted award. Veera Shankar is the director and Mani Sharma is the music director. The songs are already a big hit and are topping the charts.
There are rumours that the film is a based on the Hollywood action film, Blue Streak but it is not confirmed. Another story doing the rounds is that Pawan plays an illicit liquor dealer and small time tough guy with an attitude who falls in love with Meera as she changes his life.
The film releases worldwide on September 10.

*Today morning, they had barricades at Prasads for controlling the crowds for tickets and lot of secuirty personnal are deployed to control the crowds and this happened for the first time in the history or Prasads.....
*Prasads and Devi are booked till tuesday morning show.And all the side theaters are booked till monday nite show...This happened in only 2 hours after advance booking started. |
