Big mama to be frank.. I support the rating system ( adi already ee taadu lo postaa). I also don't agree with you that Jeevi is inexperienced... not to boast the numbers but 300+ icchaadu mama vaadu. May be he is biased on some and was not able to judge some.. not every one is perfect... itta anukuntoo pothe yevadoo ivvaledu.. many sites have come and gone kaani there is still a lot of credibility for his review and site yendukantehe is doing a lot more better than many others...

The film is high on action as well as steamy emotions but lacks a coherent script and is just macho bravado and senseless fights.
The film kicks off stylishly as the hero sits on the fallen branch of a tree and tells his story to the audience in a flashback as he waits for the villains! The story is worked around the ‘sister sentiments’ which we have seen umpteen times in Indian cinema.
Mahesh Babu is the only saving grace of this otherwise inept B-grade action movie. However the plus points are the excellent art work of Thotta Tharani, music by Mani Sharma and some good visual effects etched by cameraman Sekhar V.Joseph. Mani Sharma’s tunes like “Raa Raa…” and “Dum…Dumare…” are simply superb. Director Gunasekhar has to be applauded for some excellent night effect takes.
At best Arjun packs sufficiently thrills mainly for Mahesh fans to add up to time-pass entertainment. Keep the corn popping.

i too hate the rating system. i also hate the review system as well. cinema choose munde katha, kamanishu antha cheppidengi movielo enjoy chese elements anni champestunnaru ee reviewers and raters. this is very bad. especially for the overseas audience and the exhibitors overseas.

Arjun or G SHankar or any other movie - Why should regular viewers see bad or medicore movies?
Ratings serve them as tool for priototizing what movie to see and what not see. Maree gula vunna pans ayyithe anni soothaaru kaani not regular people.
For me I see good movie irrespective of the hero in theatre. Saw movies like Sakhi, Nuvve Kavaali too irrespective of the hero as they were good. Other movies I just wait to watch in theatre.
Hope atleast now distributors will be judiciously buying based on the worth than the hype.
For Arjun the US distributors made a good call. They waited till the release and got aggood deal 12 lakhs instead of initial 40 lakhs.
Had they did same for Gudumba too they would have made money in that too.
Then our producers and heroes also will make good movies. |

Why should we protest the rating systm now? None of you had a problem when jeevi gave ARJUN only a 3/5, when it clearly deserved at least 3.5 or more. Have you read jeevi's review for ARJUN. The rating and review have nothing to do with each other. In addition jeevi even made some mistakes in the review.
The fact of the matter is jeevi was caught in his own web of deceit. From the very beginning jeevi was biased against ARJUN. During the review of ARJUN he kept Gudumba Shankar in mind. Jeevi wanted Gudumba Shankar to look very good on comparison with ARJUN. He was also pretty sure that Gudumba Shankar might at most be worth 3.75/5 or 4/5. So in order to keep a maximum difference between Gudumba and ARJUN and also maintain a certain degree of respect he gave ARJUN a 3/5.
Unfortunately PK delivered a dud in the form of Gudumba and spoiled jeevi's party. The talk was very bad from the very first show. It became apparent the GS was very bad and nowhere near ARJUN. In reality GS may be deserves a 2.75 or 3. However, if he gives GS a rating so close to ARJUN, which is far better than GS, then Jeevi will lose all credibility in US. Therefore, he had no choice but to give GS a much lower rating than ARJUN. I bet that if Jeevi had given ARJUN a rating of 3.5 or 3.75, he would have definitely give GS a rating of 3 or 3.25.
Jeevi has done this to himself. If he hadn't been so biased against ARJUN none of this would have happened.
Jeevi made himself a bed of thorns, now he better sleep on it.

Because of the rating ..Movie gaurentee ga effect avuddi.
Mari theater kelli movie chudakudani paristiti kadu ...it may not have all ingredients...but watchable in theater.
Just because of the rating ..many people will drop now ..
TIme for fans and Industry people to react on this rating system.
Bollywood lo Avg/Manchi Cinemalaku kuda poor rating ichhi overseas market chedadobbuthunnadu Taran Adarsh gadu. Recent Example : Dhoom. Bollywood vallaki vunna market ye ..overseas.
