Jayanth is very good at remakes..
Best example is LNS..
Where ever necessary he added new stuff, where ever not necessary he chooped off unnecessary scenes.
In Telugu, flash back and climax episodes were changed and came out very well when compared to Tamil. Also, there is lot of unnecessary comedy in the first half in Tamil and those scenes were chopped off in Telugu. Also, the highlight scene of LN (where by NBK argues with politicians and police officers before climax) didn't have the same punch in Tamil.
Based on all these I can say, Jayanth has done a wonderful job when dealing with a remake subject. Commercially though LN might be slightly lesser than NN, I personally liked LN more than SSR and NN. Songs inkochem baagundi, bellam gaadu 50 days tharuvatha publicity meeda sraddha petti vunte, cinema inkaa baaga hit ayyedi.
Bottom line, Jayanth proved that he is good at handling remakes.. |
