for digital camera look for powershot s50 mamalu it is one year old model with 5 mega pixels.
3x optical zoom 12 x digital zoom.
Excellent camera and give very good quality pics.
I have this model i am using it since last 1 yr easy to handle kooda.

I too agree with others who told about Sony. I dont know why Sony is famous amongst our Indians. I used two camcorders JVC for 4 years each no problem at all. JVC comes with 60-70% of price that Sony camcorder, but with more features... |

Go for 2.0 MP CCD camcorders. Look for 3.5"lcd, battery is standard, you need to go for an extra accessory...Night vision, more optical zoom... rest all features will be standard..
Regarding digital camera.. Go to Olympus which has more optical zoom ( 10X)... |

Inka s400 enti they have discontinued it ippudu s410, I have s500 its awesome, compact, light and very nice quality, buy 1GB or 512 mb inka no apings, I have blown up some pics to 8x10 and they look amazing

for cam corders go for Canon or jvc or panasonic or samsung they are much better for their price mamalu.

I own a Canon s400 and I too observed this.
But, using the Software that comes with canon, you can imprint the date on the photo.
P.S: After I bought S400, I promoted this cam in such a way that, 6 of my friends and colleagues bought it.
Its so convenient to use.
