At the same time,Rameshbabu cudnt get 5 crs.more prior to the release..

Yesterday all those self appointed analyst pundits were referrring to TOI and opening new threads on Arjun analysis. They were quoting TOI as if it was a Bible on trade analysis, Just bcoz TOI said that Arjun is a flop. But today when the same TOI gave a report that all films with Shankar in the title are flops. And that Gudumba Shankar lost as much as Rs 3 crore the day prior to its release because distributors just weren't willing to pay up.
Now these so called experts on trade analysis do not want to talk about TOI and are trying to justify that GS is indeed doing great business even though their are no audiences in the theatres.
What the producer of GS did was he knew the product was not up to the mark, which they had hyped about. So they flooded the market with more no of prints and due to the pre release hype the tickets were already sold out in advance.
Coming to Arjun the film was also hyped to a extent. But the word of mouth publicity was there that the movie is good and this ensured a good collections at the box office.
The TOI reports are just gossip. Bcoz, how can u declare a film flop when it is still running in theatres. Also u can not categorise that all films with Shankar in the title are flop.
A film runs on merit and the content it has and not on hype and gossip. Every one knows which movie is a hit one.
And my request to all those fake trade analysts is to SHUT UP.

Two years ago, the Telugu film industry was the envy of Bollywood what with our filmmakers hitting a purple patch with more than a handful of hits while Bollywood had just Raaz and Devdas to write home about. But, cut to the present and Tollywood is reeling under losses with most of the major releases biting the dust. The industry has been losing nothing less than Rs 200 crore per annum. Varsham, Aarya, Puttintiki Raa Chelli and Yagnam are the only
true blue hits.
Balakrishna's Laxmi Narasimha , Nagarjuna's Nenunnanu, Venkatesh's Malleswari and Xtra were the other films that turned out to be average grossers.
While producers blame the losses on piracy they also admit that the lack of good films has led to this new low. "Piracy is the main reason for this loss," says D Suresh Babu, president of producers' council. Trade pundits inform that big-budget films like Anji, Andhrawala, Nani, Sree Anjaneyam, Arjun, Samba and Garshana bombed and the losses incurred due to these films are higher than those due to small and medium budget movies.
Further still, films like Love Today, Tapana, Abhiram, Nenu, Bhadradri Ramudu and 143 were unable to recover even the print and publicity cost. What ails Tollywood? "People who have no prior knowledge about films are entering the fray, pouring in a lot of money and end up having a bitter experience," points out Suresh Babu. He adds, "Financiers and cashiers willingly finance new producers with high interests. This also adds to the losses."
The spiraling production costs have also been adding to the woes. Says K L Narayana, former president of producers' council, "People come to cinema halls only if the film is good. There's no point in making a big-budget film that lacks in script and story line." Filmmaker E V V Satyanarayana concurs saying, "We suffer due to films that lack good stories.And producers pay huge sums to the leading stars and technicians," he says.
Producers and filmmakers admit that the dearth of good films has finally taken a toll. Says ace director K Raghavendra Rao, "Everybody claims to be making a ‘different film' but come up with clichéd stories.We have to appreciate the audiences for tolerating this for so long."
