I agree with your views II maam.. our media is someway under the political and government clouds. Their real worries are how to survive if leave them out in the air and our media guys thinking about their survival they have to support them.
May be this is high time to take care of that situation.
btw, I missed one imporatant thing in my one of my post, we have some good journalists with Print media like IT (aaj tak), Outlook, the Week and Hindu front line and some local news papers in each state. We should not forget them too.

Mama... my memory on this one was very little way back to 96-99 at the time clinton and attack on yugolsavia and hexgovia (not sure of the spelling).
Eurpoian countries and Russia are the main heads in this and headquarted in europe. At that time they issued membership to US when Clinton was PRez. So the vital role being played could be europian gaints UK, France, germany, denmark, Russia, italy, norway and netherlands. I guess US has very little control on the affairs on this... May be they can influence the decison.
What I was asking is: Who is the current cheif and who can veto the powers of that orgn. It is one of the powerful armed organization in the world.

Mama... we can reason out many for the failure of our Indian national broadcasters, channels, press personalities in the international arena in presenting the Indian terrorist activities and development, culture and tourism.
1. No proper internatiationl policy from GOI, Ministry of I & B to project and develop programmes to the outer world. We have DDInternataionl which 99 % indians living outside India does not know.
Damn fcukers always look what hindu based programme/serial to be telecasted and junk... instead of building a new policy on international policy of India and its intrersts and efforts in the global development unlike NGC, Discovery, Animal planet and Popular science and etc
2. Everyone is intrested more in survival game in indian politics.
3. There is no powerful individuals to take the pain/courgae to bring things to worldwide.
4. We have some icons in the media, but their intrests and scope limited to India itself.are very less.
Pritish Nandi, Prannoy Roy, Zee subhash chandra failed to present the terrorism in early stages to world due to uplinking and other issues.
5. Zee succeeded in entertainment and movies, no internataionl news or current affairs.
6. Prannoy Roy NDTV started recently, but it was too late game for them to succeed in the world... we should have started the game in 90s.
7. Some know how and indepth programmes on India and its culture in discovery/NGC makes some programmes does a mockery and picnic to their journalists.. with half knowledge articles. Away from naturality and with all research of some internataionl guys.
8. Last but not the least, we suck big time in this field.
