my assumption when i read your question was kingdom contains thousands of people. and most of them dont see each other in their life. |

question is not complete. definetely not.
question is complete under assumption its a small kingdom of 15-20 people. Kingdom can be a big stuff.
If you say odd people out now tell me how many left, it depends on how many are there in total.
the answer is right, but that doesn't mean question is complete. |

The most important assumption missing from the question is..
each person will meet each and every other person in the kingdom.
what if one of the red heads is sick and stay home until 7th day? Its not common in this world that in a kingdom each and every person meets each and everyother person. |

Here is the solution....
just in case someone wants to try the puzzle without seeing the solution....
the solution can be arrived at through mathematical induction.
let us suppose there was only one redhead in the kingdom. this guy will "see" that there are no other redheads in the kingdom. so he will infer that he himself is the only redhead and leaves the kingdom on the first day itself.(according to their silent protocol, none of the blackheads will leave the kingdom on the first day even though he doesnot know if he is not a redhead on the first day itself.)
now lets suppose there are exactly two red heads in the kingdom. both of them will "see" one redhead and remaining blackheads. all the blackheads will see two red heads. both the red heads have a good reason to assume that they are not redhead by themselves on the first day. that is, both of them think there is only one redhead in the kingdom on the firstday and that is not himself. so, both the red heads end up seeing each other on the second day. on the second day both of them realise that "if his assumption on the first day were true, that is there was only one red head in the kingdom, he would have left on the first day itself. " so both of them conclude that their assumption was wrong that is , the number of redheads in the kingdom is not equal to 1. and certainly it is not 3 or more than that too because otherwise they would have been able to "see" more than one redhead. so, both of them conclude that there are exactly two redheads in the kingdom and one of them must be themselves. so, they both leave on the second day(according to the silent protocol.) (assuming that all the people in the kingdom are honest. if both the redheads were dishonest and the rest of them were honest, the whole kingdom would leave on the third day.) coming back to our problem, in this case, none of the lackheads would leave the kingdom on the second day even though they have a good reason to assume they are redheads themselves.(according to the silent protocol)
silent protocol = any person in the kingdom leaves only if he is absolutely sure that he is a redhead.
so, if there were exactly 3 red heads in the kingdom, each of them will "see" 2 redheads and have good reason to assume they are the only two in the kingdom. so, they wait for two days because that is how long it would take the other two to realise if they both were only the redheads in the kingdom. so, all the 3 redheads endup seeing two redheads on the third day also, so their assumption on previous days is wrong and following a similar argument as above, all the 3 red heads know they are the redheads and leave the kingdom on the 3rd day. and according to the silent protocol, none of the blackheads would leave the kingdom on the third day.
so, we can use mathematical induction to actually prove that if there were N redheads in the kingdom, it takes N days for them to realise that fact.
