I dont think Annamayya had so much sales. It was released late and not a great DVD for that matter. I dont have the official numbers though |

You heard it wrong. The entire USA distribution rights were sold for 12 lakhs . I am not sure if the dvd rights were also included in that |

Kad had the screening rights for Tagore/GS/Johnny as well as the DVD rights also ! |

60k Dvd's is a lot and I don't think any telugu movie would reach that figure !

USA lo on an average there 4 Indian stores for every state. So if every store orders 2 copies on a average that alone would constitute 400 dvds ! This is the bare minimum !
So for a hit movie my estimate is around 3000 - 4000 DVD's in the initial release and another 1000 in the long run ! |

Comments : The DVD was released through the SV Entertainments. The film qulality is average as it is very old film. couple of scenes has jerks (only two or three). The DVD first prints are all sold out (around 1000 copies) now they are doing a reprints soon.
