This is a sneak preview of the upcoming version of windows, codename longhorn (or windows2006). It would be released next year. check out the snapshots
The minimum h/w requirements include 512 MB RAM
this operating system would run on a 64 bit technology instead of the normal 32 bit that we are using right now. AMD is the first company who has already manufactured and launched a 64 bit technology Processor. If you plan to purchase a new computer, caution wait for sometime as a next generation computer technology is going to be launched very soon with Windows Longhorn!
