Thanks smart. It worked, all I had to do is disable the NIC (Intel) and add 3 COM and it did wonders.

yeah even I am thinking it might be something to do with the network driver. so i downloaded DOS driver, but the client machine it crashed giving an error message that not enough memory for the configuration

A similar problem was reported here

search for "Failed to reboot client to recovery partition"
ghost fails if the target node is not identical to the node from which the image is made.

I am using Symantec Ghost 7.5 version. When I am cloning the client computers the installation fail in the middle and give me the error message: virtual partition error and under details it says Failed to reboot client to recovery partition.
What i did is under the client machine properties I have selected the template as Intel Pro 1000 (the network card is Intel Pro /1000MT) and Under the PCI template there will be an error as Unknown PCI identifiers 32902:4110
Please some one help me
