Yeah that is a Blunder made my GM.
Atleast after next season they will get caprelief in Grant's contract.
And they will resign Butler.
I think if they get a good coach.
Kobe,Lamar and Butler could made a good tandem.
But they will need good defensive PG and an OK Big man at 4 or 5.
I would say they have to trade for Randolph or Boozer if those are willing to trade them. |

ya trading shaq was good but what they got in return was horrible. no all-stars and no expiring contracts for cap relief either. |

even though the lakers are going to stink a couple of years, moving shaq was the right thing to do. EVen though he still a dominant player no way can a team invest upto a 100 million dollars on a guy at the tail end of his career. |

the current league rules wont let miami re-sign haslem for moe than the mid-levele. word is that they will wait until the next collective agreement kicks in this summer. they r hoping the rules will relax a bit. damon jones and keyon dolling can opt out of their contracts. i think only one of them will come back. if they give shaq his 80-100 mil extension for 3 years, they will be doomed. this year was their best shot. |

Buzz maama Wade is no different from Kobe, if u had watched last nights game in the final 2 min he didn't pass the ball instead he took bad shots.
Even though Wade is in his second year he is already 23 and kobe is just 26 so only 3 years gap.
Also we had seen kobe playing with injuries and Wade playing with injury u make the difference.
With Shaq on the roster and asking for 100 million contract Miami won't be able to sign any more good role players.
They will also loose Haslem if any team offers him a contract bigger than mid level exception.
Then Wade will be left with aging Shaq who is no longer effective like he was before.
This seasons figures show how effective he was.
It will still go down next year.
I don't think they will be able to sign Eddie Jones this year.
So they will be left with Wade and Shaq and peace of crap around.
For Lakers future is bright after next season.
They can sign good players this season and next year.
they just need a good PG and OK big man.
Kobe will rule.
Ask Shaq and Wade tp play in West and let's see if they can make Playoff's.
Shaq just deserves midlevel exception.
He always comments his old teams.
Now if Miami doesn't give a contract extension he starts scolding them.
Wade's future is ruined with this OLD Bull. |

nandamuri mama... u misunderstood my post.. i said wade "will be" better than kobe (in the future). i didn't say he is better already. i am saying this (educated guess obviously) bcoz wade is only in his 2nd year and will def improve. and he has a willingness to pass the ball and get his teammates involved. at this point i have almost given up hope that kobe is goin to do that. i hope he proves me wrong by being more team oriented from the next season. |

Buzz maama i don't agree with u that Wade is a better player than Kobe. See he is playing with Shaq who always gets doubled and then he can score.
Kobe can play all alone even if they double team him. This year lakers were a bad team so Kobe is looking like that. Just watch tape of past years and u will know the difference b/w kobe and Wade.
If Kobe was with the same injury as Wade he would have played that 6th game, that's the difference b/w kobe and wade.
If Miami goes with shaq's play this year and give him the 100 million contract extension then that franchise is done for next 4 years and wade's prime will be done.
Shaq is playing like Dampier and Oestertag now and he doesn't deserve that huge contract.
Lakers did a good thing trading because of his contract issue.
They should loose tonight for Shaq. |

i think shaq will get one more ring but this time as a 2nd option to wade. wade is very very good and in my opinion he'll be better than kobe (even though i am a laker fan) coz of his willingness to pass the ball. but is a 2nd option worth a 3 year 100 million contract extension. this wld be excluding the one more year left on his current deal at approx 33 million. so 130 million for 4 years. i think the biggest nba off season drama will be about shaq's 100 million contract extension.
shaq is getting back to health with each passing game. tonite if wade is his usual self heat will win. but if wade is anywhere less than 100% the pistons will win. |

amare scores most of his points in the paint bcoz he can. no one player can really gaurd him. and also it allows him to get fouled and get to the line. dirk is a 7-foot jump shooter basically. atletic for a 7-footer no doubt but in terms of speed and power he is nowhere near amare. this year amare has improved his jump shot upto 10 ft. he improved his free throw shooting also. both are not great defenders but amare is a better shot blocker. amare shoots 56% from the field. dirk shoots 46%. i dont think there's even one team out there that wld take dirk over amare. that is even on current form. if its based on potential its a no-contest. |

I did not watch yesterday game. Is there anythig wrong what i said? where does most of his shots come from? What if he is restricted in the paint? Can he score the same amount of points from outside the paint? May be he can improve in future, but i am asking about current series. |

Amare has only one kind of play. Look at his shots. 80% comes from dunks. He is no where in the league of Dirk. If he is restricted out of paint, thats it he cannot score. But Dirk can score from any place. He has wide vareity of shots. Only problem with dirk is he is a bad defender. Without Nash, Amare could not score too many points. |

no way nowitzki is amare. when nash pases the ball on pick and roll amare rolls to the basket catches tha pass and finishes with a monster dunk or a layup (and gets fouled making the 3-point play). nowitzki in the same situation used to pull up for a jump shot. nash is is good in phx bcoz he has more athletes who cld run and run and finish (dirk is good but he no where close to amare and marion as an athlete). the split was good for both teams. |

i think it'll be spurs vs pistons. it will be a viewer's nightmare
if shaq is not 100% pistons will win easily. wade is very exciting but the pistons are the better team. even with shaq at 100% it won't be easy for the heat.
my favorite matchups in the following order:
Suns vs. Heat: Who will gaurd Amare? Who will gaurd Shaq? Can anyone on the Suns stop Wade? And then there's the MVP Nash.
Suns vs. Pistons: Best Offense vs. Best Defense. I don't think we'll ever see more contrast in styles.
Spurs vs. Heat: Manu vs Wade. Tim will get his. Shaq will get his. Its about Manu vs. Wade.
Spurs vs Pistons: This most probable. But for me least likeable. Too much defense. Long stretches without baskets. TV rating will be at all-time low (guess many fans are like me) |

SUNs are basically offensive team. SA never lost in this season after cross 100 points in playoffs and are 26-2 in regular season.
Defense teams win always and especially makes 4th Q. the two back to back three pointers by barry did all the damage. what this nash guy is doing by running all over the court i dont understand. he should fuckin shoot the ball instead of passing ala Jason Kidd of NJ. |
