You must mean Manny Malhotra. He currently plays for Columbus BlueJackets in CENTER. He was NY Rangers first pick in the entry Draft.
Then taken by Dallas Stars from the NY Rangers in a trade.
He is of Indian and French-Canadian descent.
FYI: NHL season was cancelled last season, hence you didn't see him last year. |

Softball at the professional level is played by WOMEN AND WOMEN ONLY.
At the company level, both men and women play because it is not so serious and the ball is pitched UNDER-HAND which is not so serious.
K_R mama, yeah, absolutely, we (cricket players) rock at playing baseball/softball. A cricket player can play softball/baseball, but the opposite is absolutely not true. |

I also play for a cricket club in Washington, DC. Its called WCL. Washington Cricket League. They have a website, too.
But, its tough to play cricket for 8 straight hours with the wife & kid doing nothing at home over the weekend. |

And also softball is a bit heavier than baseball, and that could be the reason why I cannot send the ball out of the park. But, my fellow teammates hit the ball out, though. |

I play Softball for my company. We're well into the season now.
I'm the base-hit player. I hit the ball very well, but not enough to send it out of the park. For homeruns, you do need arm-power and shoulder-power.
For base-hits, hitting the ball right-field, left-field, center-field and placing the ball, We (cricket players) are the BEST!!! My fellow players call me the Pete-Rose (except for the betting part). The way I see the ball, place the ball and hit the ball is "chooda muchata untundi" for me  . My average is good, too. |
