Disclaimer: I had to return Home while going for the movie in last min. The info is from few trusted friends who watched the movie. Coming to point
Good thing --> They screened the movie in Bridgeport instead of New Haven in Showcase Cinemas. This is damn good theater (rent kuda ekkuve vundachhu) and has around 450 capacity.
Coming to the numbers: According to my frineds the turnout was around 100 members. I confirmed with three different people on the count since I was shocked to hear the turnout number. I was expecting atleast 200 plus. Reason read below...
Connecticut lo modatlo okkachota New Haven lo vesevallu. either 1 show or 2 shows or 3/4 shows sometimes (SD ki 4 anukunnaru kaani 3 paddai ani telisindi). Ippudu Hartford and New Haven lo two places lo vestunnaru.
Traditionally Chiru's strong Center followed by Nag, Venky and PK. the last two places may go up depending on movie. So far for Nag movies there was good crowd despite flops. Super has the lowest number so far with a turnout of around 150. BOSS ki Fri night show ki Newhaven lo one show total full including front rows.
Coming to PK after Johnny both GS and Balu had a turnout of 200 plus as I went there since my friend screened the movie. for AV I was expecting more than that since reviews were good etc.,
Frankly I was disppointed to hear the number. about $700 rent for the hall and it earned the rent.
Mari Hartford lo Sat show ki entamandi vachharo telidu... I wish it was a decent turnout there.
