go to your nearest IRAS and apply for it.
you have to have original passport , visa for the person/s you apply.
they will send the tin back by post it would take 5 bussiness days to get it.
i have done the same way.

If your wife or anyone of your family does not have SSN number then you got to apply for Tax identification number(TIN) for them.
else you wont get the tax benifits for those members.
