Producer and convener of Telugu Diamond Jubilee Celebrations again fights with the media. On Tuesday (Jan 30), he had heated argument with media men and irritated over bad press about the event. “Why did media put such a huge headlines in newspapers (read about Chiru/Mohanbabu episode)? Did Tsunami occur in our state or Andhra-Telangana did separate?,” he questioned. When journalists retorted that media don’t need K S Ramarao’s ‘expertise’ on how to put headlines, the verbal scuffle between him and journalists reached height. Then some of the producers stepped in to pacify the situation. It happened during the sidelines of the press meet of congratulating the committee members for making the event ‘successful’. When senior film journalist Prabhu mentioned why he didn’t give passes to websites (except one website), K S Ramarao became irritated. “Yes, I don’t like websites. They write all gossips and negative items,” he said. Then he termed the senior journalist’s behavior as ‘rowdy act’. With this ungentlemanly word, media men had heated argument with him. He then questioned the papers about their headings. He then also said if the government doesn’t give NTR award, they (film industry) are ready to take up on their own and implement it. To senior politician V Hanumantha Rao’s criticism that film industry didn’t mention former Chief Minister Chenna Reddy name during the celebrations, he said, “we did put up his statue at film chamber of commerce. Is it not enough?” Says sorry to EVV “It is my fault for not reaching the invitation to EVV and others. I sincerely say sorry to them,” he regretted. Here is what he said (Also read our comments to his argument) 1. I don’t like websites because they write gossips and negative items. (Our Comment: So he denied passes to the celebrations to websites except one website that he thinks is good and writes positive news. Our comment: Yes, writing false news is bad. Negative/criticizing a film/film personality is nothing wrong. So K S Ramarao becomes censoring authoritarian, huh?) 2. Media is acting as if they are superior power. But they are not! (Our Comment: We agree with you in this regard to some extent. But don’t Tollwood behave in the same manner that they are so superior gods!) 3. The celebrations were our home affair (industry affair). We don’t need to invite media and general public. (Our Comments: a). Wow, what a great quote! Then why did you call TV crews every other day to Film Chamber of Commerce before the celebrations and giving bytes to asking people to buy/donate delegate passes? If it was home-affair why do you need publicity prior to the function? You should have sent invitations to your relatives like all of us do a family function happens? b) Our Megastar Chiranjeevi in his speech and also during the press meet of the filming of the song said the celebrations should get wider publicity especially national and internationally Tollywood should be recognized. So you are contradicting with your own and important family member? c). Then if it is really home function why did you call in the media today post the celebrations and what is the need for giving explanation when you give damn for publicity?) 4. If government doesn’t give NTR award annually, we would take it up? (Our comment: So want to impress Nandamuri family. Good mathematics. But who’s stopping you to take up the award and implementing it? Why cry over the government? 90 percent of Tollywood personalities are Telugu Desam. Why did you make this comment when TD stopped giving the award?) |

Balakrishna mixed with everyone and cheered the actors. Never did he show a bit of uneasy, anger, jealousy, or superiority. He had a great ball. Surprisingly, even after the third day events, he was the same. Not commenting on anything!>>> BaaaaaaaaaaalaKrishna BaaaaaaaaaaaaaalaKrishna Sinna |

The anti-climax of Telugu Cinema Vajrotsav is still the hot discussion point. While megastar family and his group are happy that Chiranjeevi has finally shown his anger and made his stand clear. Chiranjeevi the most diplomatic star in the industry was known for beating around the bush. It is surprise that he came vocal on Mohan Babu. Mohan Babu gets moral support But Mohan Babu gets backing from Tollywood for the questions he has raised. Most people say that his argument that how would one define the word ‘legend’ is correct. Also he only questioned the impartiality that committee is showing towards film personalities. He didn’t criticize Chiranjeevi directly. Hence Mohan Babu this time is getting more support. It is unanimous verdict that Mohan Babu's speech is accurately correct. The gutsy man has made sensible talk. Pawan's Happy But Chiru camp sees it other way. Pawan Kalyan in particularly is happy with his brother’s dare devil act. But again some section of the industry is not happy with it. The events that occurred on the third day of the Vajrotsav clearly indicate that there are two groups in the Tollywood : pro-Chiranjeevi and anti-Chiranjeevi. NBK surprises The biggest surprise is that Nandmuri Balakrishna’s stand of keeping mum on this issue. It is a known fact that both the fans of NBK and Chiru fight over for various issues. Contrary to their fans fighting, both Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi seemed to gel with each other. Balakrishna mixed with everyone and cheered the actors. Never did he show a bit of uneasy, anger, jealousy, or superiority. He had a great ball. Surprisingly, even after the third day events, he was the same. Not commenting on anything! |

Inside Talk: Mohan Babu Questioned Why Only MAA TV? The hangover of Vajrotsavam is still 'On'. Many impressions are coming out through various inside reports. The fresh talk is as below. Mohan Babu questioned why the satellite rights of Vajrotsavam Function are given away only for MAA TV. He raised the point that the rights were simply given away for MAA without calling for tenders. "MAA TV bagged for Rs.1.5 Crore. If all channels were called for tenders someone would have even bagged at Rs. 10 Crores", expressed Mohan Babu. When Mohan Babu was said that he was going to get felicitated as celebrity but not legendary, he took that serious and started arguing. Pawan Kalyan also intruded in the argument as per inside reports. Sources say that Pawan Kalyan and Mohan Babu fought with verbal bombardments just a day before the commencement of Vajrotsavam only on this issue. |

Spokesman for Mohan Babu has issued the following text to Cinema Prapancham. Raju, the spokesperson is calling for a press meet in Guntur tomorrow to react on what has happened today in Tenali, Kodur and Guntur. He says, “Many film artistes, technicians have been left out and people like Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala, Krishnam Raju were not given their due honour. Questioning as to why it has happend and to ensure that it doesn’t take place in the future Mohan Babu had voiced his opinion. He didn’t take anyone’s names. The committee members are supposed to react to this but not those who have no connection with the commitee. But here a hero has pointed out at Mohan Babu. While Mohan Babu had chosen to speak during the function, the latter did it during the vote of thanks after one hour forty five minutes, after noticing Mohan Babu had left the venue. We all are fans and we remained silent and also because it’s a matter that should not concern us. But the fans of the hero in question have burnt Mohan Babu’s effigy in Tenali, Kodur and other places. Fans should stay away from this. Oka poster ki oka bomma ki nalugu kattalu petti, battalu katti 500 kms dooranga burn cheste adi heroism kaadhu. The fans should come and do it in front of Mohan Babu’s house. Politicians resort to these kind of activities because they have no fans. But film stars have fans and we are not supposed to do it. Raashtram antha alla kallolam avuthundi. Evarintiki vallu herolu. Don’t provoke us, violence or silence we are ready.” A very emotional Raju adds that he is willing to have a meeting and a debate and is holding a PC tomorrow at Guntur. “We are a disciplined lot, but if you provoke us then we will not sit quietly. There are many fans who have been upset, fans of Krishnam Raju, Krishna, Mahesh, etc. etc. All of us will get together. So put an end to all this immediately.” Meanwhile Chiranjeevi Fans President Swami Naidu says, “It is not the work of the fans it must have been done by unknown people. Maa prameyam emi ledhu.” |
