CQ certification is helpful but not reqd. It is used for issue tracking and change requests. Different clients use different tools, so dont worry abt CQ and its very easy to use. If you look at the screens, you can get a hang of it in less than an hr. More than tools, you should be able to talk abt the processes RUP, Agile, etc.

hi chip.
I am working as BA right now with a indian firm in usa and want to go into usa market with BA as my main skill. though, i have technology as my skillset in my resume, i want to project myself as BA and not as developer.
till now, i have done use case based requirements without any tool as such. but, i have done pretty good amount of projects as BA. Used Rational Rose for design a lot.
what i want to know is, is it necessary that we have Rational clearQuest or similar tool certification to enter to BA role. I know if it is there, it is good. But, is it like one in 2 jobs require this kind of certification.
Also, i wanted to know if there is any other skillset that goes well with BA skill in resume to help you get into projects. This question is based on the assumption that there are not as many jobs fro BAs as for developers per se.
