Borde named interim manager of Team India

NEW DELHI, June 12: Former India captain Chandu Borde has been named Team India's manager for the forthcoming Ireland and England tours. This was announced in the Working committee meeting held in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The 72-year-old has been chosen as an interim arrangement, until a new coach is appointed by the Indian cricket board (BCCI).
Although Borde is still waiting to get the official confirmation, the former captain is happy to get the coveted responsibility, as he told to a private TV channel.
Borde, a leg-spinner all-rounder, played in 55 Tests and scored 3061 runs and took 52 wickets. He was twice chief national selector, first during 1982-84 and then at the turn of the millennium.
On Monday, South African Graham Ford had declined BCCI's offer to coach the national team, saying this is the right decision for him and his family and he would prefer to continue as the Director of Cricket of England's Kent county club.
India are to play three ODIs against South Africa in Ireland between June 26 and July 1.
They then contest a one-off ODI against Pakistan at Glasgow, Scotland, on July 3 before moving to England for a full-fledged series - between July 7 and September 8 - of three Tests and seven ODIs.

This is a big stratergy by Bombay Betting syndicate the father of Indian Betting Sunil Gavaskhar to make sure that the public will believe that Ravi Shastri was forced to lead India as a coach in the Series of England and Australia..
though Dave has shown his interest he did not oblige to Gavaskhar's/Shastri/Vengsarkar/Pawar team selection process so he was shown the doar. The same happened with the Ford and Embury..
