I have production DB where 20 messages(rows) /second will get inserted..
Each message has some status, if the status is changed to completed, i dont need it anymore except for reporting pupose. So, i want to move those rows to reposting databse.
What is the efficient way to do that??

there is connector to SAP since .. 2004 .. and now there are connectors to Siebel and PeopleSoft (Oracle owned applications)..

Naakudu .. its also shaking .. in USA .. end of august.. with new connectors being released for Siebel(oracle's product) , SAP etc .. Inkaaa .. pipelined applicaton INFA payeee.. its not too late .. download OWB paris version and keep ur skills uptodate .. most of the people who are using INFA for Siebel are going to use OWB or already started .. the migration .. there is lot of money to be made .. |

INFA is the best when it comes to scheduling and robustness and reliability... and you can integrate with SAP, PEOPLESOFT, DB2, TERADATA, IBM MQ SERIES, TIBCO, etc. with the help of power connectors.. i dont know whether OWB supports all these sources.. but OWB is good when both source and target environment is based on Oracle DB |

420 mayya,, may be its shaking ETL market in EUROPE, but not in USA market... INFA is in first place closely followed by datastage in US ETL market.. even we can not find many jobs in OWB, on other hand there are many openings for INFA ofcourse resources too |

version kuda idea ledu naku .. it has got transformations similar to Informatica, only advatange, oracle claims, with OWB is that the transforms actually takes place in oracle DB Engine itself... blah blah.. but it hasn't become popular like INFA though.. at that time another limitation with OWB is that it can only read from either oracle sources or flat files and can only write to oracle targets which is not the case with INFA... with INFA you can read data from any data base/ERP and write to data bases from diff vendors... |
