It's not new to say that the caste politics are prevalent here. They have been there since the beginning. Freshly Nadendla Bhaskara Rao started self campaigning in Delhi stating that it is he, who is a Kamma, can defeat Chandrababu in 2009 election but not YSR. He affirms that caste basis is highly considered now than in 2004 and it is sure that Chandrababu will give tough fight for YSR. Nadendla mentions that YSR finds it difficult to fight with Babu being a Reddy-Christian.
On the other hand Dasari is also using 2009 elections as platform for Kapu-Congress phenomenon. He has been trying to smoke out Chiranjeevi,the Kapu, and make him join Congress. Chiranjeevi's intention, if at all coming into politics, is setting up a new party of his own. But at the same time Chiranjeevi has fear that if at all he starts a new party there will be IT raids and other disturbances on him from the ruling party. That is a routine and immediate threat given by any ruling party when a new party emerges by an affluent personality. Dasari is using Mohan Babu to smoke out Chiranjeevi and ask his help to continue peaceful going. Then Dasari's idea is to use Chiranjeevi for Congress or for himself, personally. In the process, it is said that Mohan Babu is using all means to disturb Chiranjeevi all the while.
Mohan Babu has no Congress idea, although he helps his guru Dasari. His idea is to join TDP (if it wins). Sources say that Mohan Babu will hold no flag till the elections are over. He may be taking TDP's holy water only after 2009 if at all it wins.
