Before the release the producers were supposed to chip in the money but Rajamouli managed to give three crores out of the five.

‘Cherry chesina mosanni thattukoleka digulutho sathamathamavuthunnadu Rajamouli. His producer Cherry [Yamadonga] mothaniki 6 crores swaaha. Because this man happens to be a relative, emi cheyaleka thana lo thane baadhapadthunnadu Rajamouli,’ says TCP sources.
Twenty two crores were spent on producing Yamadonga. After spending on publicity and prints the amount moved to 24 crores. The business that took place - 24 crores. So hardly any profit. Cherry is supposed to have taken 8 crores and purchased some land. Before the release the producers were supposed to chip in the money but Rajamouli managed to give three crores out of the five. It is learnt that the three crores might be an advance taken from Aravind to do RCT’s film. Urmila suffered a loss of 90 lakhs.
Rajamouli and Urmila might clear the dues, recover their money in some time but the producer we mentioned above will never be able to wipe the blot on his character. He might make money with the land he’s purchased but he will never be able to make friends, will have to be content making films with his brother-in-law alone. He should remember he’s thriving on the industry. |
