In modern times, Hindus in Kashmir, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uganda and Fiji have also suffered persecution.

uganda lo all indians who migrated to that country (or whose ancestors) were persecuted under idi amin regime in seventies, regardless of their religion. indians were largely into business. idi amin saw this as indian hegemony on ugandan economy. they were forced to flee the country by the government. indian government was not able to stop idi amin government from doing it. after idi amin died, many indians returned to uganda. fiji lo kooda ethnic and political persecution ye. unlike uganda, fiji has significant population of indians. government was more under the control of indians. some fijians, by a coup, indian controlled government was brought down in eighties. indians, regardless of their religion, were discriminated for some years. but the situation reconciled and indians again formed the government. many might have heard the name mahendra choudhary. when he was the PM, again a coup was engineered by some fijians. parliament lo konni rojulu bandhinchaaru. idi more recent ga jarigindi, news lo ekkuva chooyinchevaaru konnella kritham. |

nee yenks Only way you can be called Hindu is you have to be born a hindu.. you can follow Hinduism but still cannot be called a hindu...
Maname enforce chesi unte ee world lo 1/2 the population would have been Hindus...
there is no written rule to be called a hindu..
mama to be called a Xtian you have to be baptised and you have to do the lent fast every year go to the church every sunday and spend the entire night in church on the christmas eve.
Every Muslim has to fast in the month of Ramzan unless he is ill or old Pregnant and Old women are given an exceptions.. you have to go on Haj atleast once in your life.. otherwise you cannot enter the next world after your death.
Every Mulsim needs to be circumsized
Hinduism lo atlaantivi emi levu.. you can choose what you want to follow and leave the rest and still be called a Hindu

GF gaa dheeniki karanam we dont have a fanatiscism in hinduism. we never tried enforcing our culture or ideals on to anyone..
Hinduism is always referred to as a way of life rather than a Religion.. there is no written rule to be called a hindu.. for example Xtians and Muslims have to do a set of rules and regulations to be called muslims or Xtians.You can still be called Hindu.
