manishi mama gilly doesnt even average 40 mama. how can he be in the same leauge? thats what i said by avg and sr over that many games. for one dayers-40 is the bench mark for the best and in strike rates it is 80. sachin is one player who makes it both ways. |

Prathi dhi negative ga alochinchaku ! I never said that you are lying about the stats. I just wanted to check some other player's strike rate. That is the reason as to why I asked that.
I wanted to find Adam Gilchrist SR. Now I found it. Now apply your same logic of SR over Avg for sachin and Gilchrist.
I deliberately did not bring Gilchrist even though I am sure that he will have better strike rate than Sachin , because his avg is quite less than sachin.

manishi mama for ur info, i hav already given the details about 2003 in test matches. and according to u he was a big failure. but u r actually forgetting the fact that we played only 5 tests that year which is atleast 10 less than the normal tests we play every years. also u r forgetting the fact that he was THE BEST ODI BATSMEN that year, yet again, for india taking india almost single handedly to the WC finals and odi tri series in india agains NZ and AUS on both occasions being the MOS. |

u r not right. 9 runs avg is not more than 12 runs per 100 balls becos it is a limited overs match. and even if we consider in bevans case, he never actually scored that "9" runs. it is becos of the not outs that it 9 runs more. and also 74 strike rate for the guy who is "slogging" according to u in the last 15 overs is a joke. dont tell me that guy who actually scores 74 runs/100 balls actually slogged. thats a big LOL. |

Ladoo mama , Position definitely matters. Tendulkar as an opener can fully use the 15 over restriction whereas a middle order batsmen cannot do that. bevan usually comes in the last 15 overs and yet remains not out on most occasions even though every batsmen who come the slog overs just lash at every ball and has high chance of getting out. But bevan was exception to that. Moreover 9 runs average is much higher than 12 runs/100 balls |

our sequence went something like this:
1)manishi:it might be sachin's tomorrow.
2)adi:it might be dravids turn. infact it already had been dravid's turn and it might be his turn again.

what i meant there was,
I never ever mentioned that dravid'd turn was after he started keeping wickets. NEVER. it was pretty obvious that it was before he started keeping wickets that he had the elusive dishonour of being dropped from the team inspite of being the mainstay in tests-which never happened to ganguly or sachin.
my next stmt in that sequence meant that u were to trying cover up the fact that he was actually dropped form the team before by mentioning "after he started keeping wickets."

it is a fact that dravid had to take to keeping to keep his place in the team and that in turn helped himself to rediscover himself and also the helped the team in a huge manner. |
