We also boughts lands near Uppal since at that time they said that is where the International airport will come up....With no one of our own to take care of I don't even know if they still are available...all the plots have fences though.
Like wise out of obligation had to buy 2 plots 500 Sq.Yards some kind of restort pratically 5 minutes from where the International aiport is coming...these forsure are safer in comparision. Just incase bought for around 2 laks and last reported price was 8-10 laks..... |

Home approval loan depends on your credit history. If you have a good credit history (I'm sure you will have since most of our desis have good credit history), you will get a better interest rate. Coming to the initial payment, it's not required that you put in 15% or 25%. But, the thumb rule is that if you put 20% down payment, you won't need to have a home equity loan or PMI loan. But, even, if your budget doesn't permit 20% down payment, still no problem. You can even pay 0% down payment. It all depends on your budget.
Coming to the amount of loan, it depends on your income along with credit history. I can't recall the exact formula, but it is something like 1/4th (Your pay should be around 1/4 of the loan). Say for example, the house is 300K, your pay should be around 75K, something like that. I can't recall the correct ratio.
Coming to insurance packages, there are various packages like 5/1 Arm, 7/1 Arm, 30 yrs fixed etc. So, depending on your criteria, you pick the corresponding package. |

You may need to give power of attorney to your family member so that they can take loan on behalf of you. |

Mamalu,
I need some info on getting a home loan staying in US.
I want to know the approval process? What is the max one can get and How much I need to pay for the home initially? 15 % or 25% of total face value?
Anybody took it earlier? Please throw some light. I need this info soon to decide on some things.
