But if this new proposal goes into effect, it's mandatory for every company to offer. This is not optional. The idea is instead of putting money into SS account, it goes to this 401k type account. |

If anyone plans to go to India for good w/o accruing 40 credits, pray to god that Bush's new proposal goes into law/effect soon.
It's like a 401k plan but more secured.
Personally I dont like because I will get my 40 credits soon |

yep each credit is one quarter, you accrue 4 credits per year.
So you should present in US for 10 years to get SS benefits |

Diwali is an important Indian festival, and the Post Office Department is
thinking about issuing stamps for this occasion. And why not, USPS has
stamps for other festivals too like Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Eid, and
Chinese New Year.
To do this, USPS needs 500,000 signatures to have a stamp release, and so
far they have 133,000 odd people who have signed the petition.
Please go to the site below and support the release of the Diwali stamp.
