Storyline:
Anna (Ashish Vidyarthi) is a notorious gangster in Hyderabad. Anjali (Sindhu) along with her uncle (Surya) are on an operation to kill Anna and his acquaintances and starts with bumping off a retired DGP at Vizag and later shifts their base to Hyderabad. Ram (Kalyan Ram) who also has the same mission comes to Hyderabad from New Delhi and joins the same college of Anjali and develops attraction towards her. As the story keeps about, all of a sudden Ram starts his operation and starts killing the goons. Anjali feels that someone has the same target and doing her job. The rest of the story is why Ram, Anjali and surya have the same objective of revenge murders and how they finish up forms the main storyline.
Casting Performance:
Kalyan Ram’s performance as an emotional guy who aims to take revenge on the goons lacks prompt action. His dialogue delivery is better than his earlier movies. Dances and fights by him are satisfactory. Sindhu Thulani did a role of an emotional and gushy teenaged girl and executed very well. Her histrionics are admirable. Her performance in the opening shot and climax are viable.
Others:
There is good star cast in the film. Ashish Vidhyarthi matched brilliant as a gangster. His performance is appreciable and excelled in the climax scenes. Prakashraj’s acting as ACP is remarkable and his dialogues got good response. Venumadhav’s comedy evoked good laughter. Jeevi and Raghubabu performed good as henchmen to gangster anna. Surya acted well as a trampled man who waits upon to take revenge on the gangster anna. Brahmanandam acted in a single scene as auto Johnny and performed up to the scene temperament.
Story, Screenplay and Direction:
Story of the film is very routine and is no different from earlier vengeance based violent movies. It is a simple revenge based modus operandi where the hero and heroine naively act on same operation of killing the villain and his associates. The blood relation amid hero and heroine is maintained as suspense among them. Screenplay of the movie is run of the mill. Direction is mediocre. Narration of the movie is ordinary.
Music:
Music by Manisharma is a descent. There is not even a single catchy tune amongst all the songs. Re-recording is feral.
Other Departments:
Camera by C.Ramprasad is superior and matched to the temper of the movie. Few songs are shot in Austria and Germany and the locale is well exposed. Action episodes by stun siva are excellent. Chase sequences are well brought up, particularly the puranapool bridge chase before interval and the sumo tear scene in the climax are appreciable. Dialogues by Marudhuri Raja are adequate. Art by Narayana reddy appeals notice. Interior decorations and puranapool bridge embellishment appears natural. Production look is rich and up to the demand of the story.
Analysis:
First half of the film is routine with typical love elements and reasonable comedy. Second half is more violent and unexciting. On a whole, the NTR arts banner disappoints with an average film executed in mediocre style which might not give the much needed break to Kalyanram.
