The mindset of NRIs is very different. They are tired of the so called intellectual movies of the west. They want something which won't put their brains to work..but just to hav 3 hrs of fun. They want explicit emotions..which is only possible by sentiment and melodrama of Indian movies.
ikkada ilanti cinema lu choosi choosi mana mind already dobbindi..so mana liking..NRI liking ki chala difference vuntundi.
ee tokkalo NRI's ki itz a fashion to say they like SRK..Amithab..India...and Indian movies.. |

Page 3,swades etc.page 3 flop in overseas and multiplex hit in india
Black also big hit in overseas because yash chopra diistributed in overseas
crap movie Bewafa failed in India,big hit in UK because of good music and stars. LOL

WAQT is a routine story and hit movie in India,is now creating records in US and UK.
Amitabh's performance and good music nothing great in this movie.
WAQT,Baghban,veerzara,kal ho naho,devdas,Mai hoo naa etc many more all are routine love stories or family stories
How long NRIs encourage these kind of movies ?
As far my knowledge here in US most of the software engineers will watch in DVDs only.
Most of the NRIs are gujjus and punjabis ofcourse pakis and bangladesis in UK will go to theatres and spend their time and money for these movies.
beacuse of this NRI market bollywood loosing creative directors.
I hope some how this trend should stop |
