D premieres in Mumbai Bollywood film director Ram Gopal Verma's obsession with the underworld continues. His latest venture D has been in the spotlight even before its release. At its premiere in Mumbai on Wednesday night, though the media shy Ramu chose to stay away, D protagonist Randeep Hooda was present along with Sushmita Sen. "Personally he is a ten on ten and professionally he is a hundred on a ten. I could have my biases which will be proven otherwise wrong...you must come and see the film," said actor Sushmita Sen. "It's very pacy to say the least and I think you guys should go and see it," said Hooda who is in the lead as gangster Deshu initiated to the underworld by the gun-toting Chunkey Pandey. The character of Deshu is widely being seen as a silver screen representation of noted gangster Dawood Ibrahim - the reason behind the heat on the film. "I'm really nervous, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We have worked hard on this film and I hope people like it," said actor Chunkey Pandey. "As an artist I think and wish the film should do very well. The film is pacy, one liners are excellent, all actors have done a very nice job," said actor Rukhsar. Rumours and threats apart, how the film fares at the box office will be known later this week. |
