Immediately after this, windies came to India and we received a drubbing. That's when Clive Llyod told scribes that 'They are world CUP champions, not world champions'. But the Madras test in that series, was a humdinger---Llyod used every trick in his sleeve to get our Sunny out, but failed and Sunny finally remained unbeated on 236. Parle India presented Sunny with a red Maruthi, which was the new thing in town, then.

idiot ji,
not to take anything away from kapil, but his comments about sachin recently were uncalled for. he himself had carried-on with the team to achieve the world record and i completely agree with that because he deserved it. sachin is injured and obviously is little bit down, and comments of such nature from player like Kapil are not at all expected. it just shows kapil's stupidity/immaturity. my 2 cents |
