It would be interesting to see who will be roped in to play Gabbar singh. Whoever is going to play that role.. it is just not going to be easy at all.
Who do you think the best choice for gabbar singh role is?

The idea is stale as many directors already attempted that subject in form or the another. Rajkumar santhoshi miserably failed with his 'Chinagate'.
But, but it would be interesting to see this one 'coz rgv says this film would be in Mumbai underworld settings. Also I am curious who would be cast in this remake. |

Interesting. I wish he does a contemporary Mahabharata set in the underworld. Shyam benegal did a brilliant modern day adaption of the epic set in the corporate world. It would be interesting to see the mahabharata set in an extended muslim family that controls mumbais underworld. |

Riding high on the success of Sarkar, Ram Gopal Varma is all set to realise one more dream. The filmmaker has planned a remake of Sholay - a film close to his heart and one of his all time favorites.
The remake will be titled, Ram Gopal Varma Ka Sholay and instead of being located in Ramgarh the film will be located in Varma's favourite, Mumbai underworld. The legendary Gabbar will not be a leader of dacoits but an urban don.
Varma says that Godfather and Sholay have always been his favorites and after the remake of one got successful, he couldn't resist remaking the other. The film will feature fresh faces.
