The government has found the traitor. Rabindra Singh, the former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) official who defected last year, has been recently sighted in the USA.
Singh was under suspicion for after a routine surprise check of his car revealed he was taking home documents that should not have left the RAW headquarters. Surveillance showed he had been doing an inordinate amount of photocopying in his office. But before action could be taken, he slipped out of the country. It was suspected that he was a mole for CIA.
Highly bitter sources said the government had been tracking Singh’s family in the US. Refusing to be more specific, sources said he had been spotted just outside a well-known East Coast location in the US.
Sources also said they would not assassinate him, Soviet-era style. “We are a civilised society,” a source humbly observed. “Maybe he’ll die of a heart attack or in a car accident a few years from now.
